Product Description:

1: Surface-Set Diamond Bits are set with a singular layer of natural or synthetic diamond utilizing a hard matrix compound on the face of the bit. The diamond set design ensures sufficient overlap to prevent premature wear of the matrix.

2: Surface-Set diamond bits are primarily recommended for use in drilling relatively soft, abrasive, unconsolidated formations that are not effectively drilled by impregnated diamond bits. They are also recommended for use in drilling harder formations where the available rotational speeds and bit loads are insufficient to use impregnated diamond bits due to drilling equipment limitations.

3: Surface-Set Non-coring Bits are drilling for broken formation rock which can't be cored. Crown is used to set with synthetic, natural or polycrystalline diamond. It's used for drilling in soft to medium hard formation rocks.

Surface-set bits Diamond Grades:

Diamond grade is the most important factor to take into consideration when selection a surface set diamond core bit, as it affects bit price and total meters drilled, and therefore obviously affects cost per meter drilled. Number of stones is also a very important factor orienting the bit selection too through determining how well a bit will cut. The natural diamonds utilizing for surface set diamond bits have been selected carefully, and precise pattern has also been used to set each diamond on bit cutting area to ensure proper overlap with a minimum of diamonds to keep the carat weight (the initial bit cost) as low as possible

4: Multistep bit drills usually work at the fastest speed but are less powerful in hard, broken conditions, so round or semi-slat profiles are preferred
